Day 1: Arava Border – Wadi Rum Camel Trekking (Lunch Box, D)
Our representative meets you with a signage at the Jordanian side of the border. Transfer to Wadi Rum, meet the camel and camel guide, start your visit to Lawrence’s Spring, where T.E. Lawrence was reputed to have washed during the Arab Revolt. Then onto Wadi Um Ishrin and the famous sand dune area. Lunch box will be serve and time to rest, then continue to see the ancient Anfashiyeh inscriptions, before crossing over to Um Rashid Canyon, and passing through Lawrence’s House. Continue trekking to campsite, dinner and overnight at camp.
Day 2: Wadi Rum Jeep Ride (B, Lunch Box, D)
After breakfast start of 4×4 jeep ride visiting the Nabatean Temple, here you have the opportunity to observe ancient ruins. Next is the majestic Qataar Spring here you can easily climb a nearby rock formation and take in the scenery and one of the best views of the vast landscape. Continue our journey to see one of the most interestingly-shaped rock formations in Wadi Rum. Afterwards to the Barrah Canyon here you’ll have your lunch in the shade of a humbling cliff. After lunch, there is an optional short trek through the canyon for about a kilometer. Drive to the base of the mountain that holds the Jebel Burdah rock bridge, then to Um Fruth Bridge and Khazali Canyon. With your guide you’ll go to one of the most magnificent locations atop a red sand dune to watch the legendary Wadi Rum Sunset. Continue to campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Wadi Rum – Petra Tour – Petra Hotel (B)
Breakfast at the camp. Drive 1.5 hrs to the Nabataean city of Petra, Jordan’s top destination and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The red rock city of Petra was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundation of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. With a local guide you will pass the canyon, the so called Siq to see the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. Then proceed via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh’s Castle. The guide will say farewell to you at the restaurant area. Explore Petra on your own before walking back to the entrance. Overnight Petra.
Day 4: Petra Hotel – Dead Sea Beach – Amman Hotel (B)
After breakfast, check out. Drive to the lowest point on earth the Dead Sea, here you have your free time to experience floating at the salty waters without any effort. Afterwards meet your driver for transfer to Amman, check in and overnight.
Day 5: Amman Hotel – City Tour of Amman – Amman Airport (B)
Pick up from hotel for Amman City tour, visiting Citadel, where you can see the ruins from Roman through early Islamic era. The Citadel was occupied as early as the Neolithic period and during 1800 BC. Continue to Roman Theatre, built during the reign of Antonius Pius and could seat 6,000 people. The theatre was divided into 3 horizontal sections. Side entrances existed at ground level, one leading to the orchestra and the other to the stage. Continue to Amman Airport to catch your flight.
