Day 1: Amman Airport – Amman Hotel
With a signage our representative meets you at Amman Airport. Transfer to Amman hotel, check in and overnight.
Day 2: Amman Hotel – Amman City Tour – Jerash – Amman Hotel (B)
In the morning start your day with a glimpse of downtown, visit Citadel to see the ruins from Roman through early Islamic. We continue to Roman Theatre, built during the reign of Antonius Pius and could seat about 6,000 people, it was divided into 3 horizontal sections. Side entrances existed at ground level, one leading to the orchestra and the other to the stage. Rooms behind these entrances are now house of Jordan Museum of Popular traditions and Amman Folklore Museum. We head to Jerash the best example of a well preserved Roman City in the Middle East. You visit the Temple of Artemis, Roman colonnaded street and Nymphaeum. Transfer back to Amman Hotel.
Day 3: Amman Hotel – Madaba – Mt Nebo – King’s Way – Kerak – Petra Hotel (B)
Breakfast inside hotel. Morning pick up at hotel lobby. Visit the City of Mosaics the town of Madaba. The main attraction is the Greek Orthodox Church of St George, here you see the famous 6th century Byzantine Mosaic map of the Holy site in the biblical world. Continue to Mount Nebo known as Prophet Moses burial site, it offers a spectacular view of the Holy Land (if the weather is clear). The journey continues as you drive via the famous Kings Highway, the ancient route mentioned in the bible, there is a short stop in Wadi Al Mujib to have a view of the great wide valley with magnificent geological formation. In Kerak, visit the popular Crusader Castle built by King Baldwin 1 of Jerusalem. Proceed to Petra, check in at hotel for overnight.
Day 4: Petra Tour – Petra Hotel (B)
After breakfast, proceed to Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundation of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. Start your visit by a walk or a short horse ride (included in the ticket, horse handler expects a tip) from main entrance up to the Siq, a 350 meters confined canyon. As you reach the end of Siq you will see the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. Continue via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh’s Castle. The guide will be with you up to the restaurant area, you can explore Petra on your own, then walk the same route back to the entrance. Overnight Petra.
Day 5: Petra Hotel – Wadi Rum Jeep Ride – Wadi Rum Camp (B, D)
Latest check out 12:00. You drive 1.5 hrs to Wadi Rum, one of the most dramatic and impressive desert landscape in the world. Marvelous in its natural beauty with its moonscape of ancient valley and sandstone mountains. Here still Bedouin tribes lives in camps throughout the area. Discover the area by 4×4 jeep to see canyons, rock inscriptions and sand dunes. Transfer to Wadi Rum Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Wadi Rum – Dead Sea Beach – Amman Hotel (B)
Breakfast at the camp. Drive to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. With the highest content of minerals and salts in the world, the Dead Sea water possesses anti-inflammatory properties and the dark mud found on its shores have been used for over 2000 years for therapeutic purposes. You have leisure time and a chance to experience floating at the salty waters. Transfer to Amman, check in and overnight.
Day 7: Amman Hotel – Amman Airport (B)
Breakfast. Free time until transfer to Queen Alia to board your flight.
